6th Grade Homeschool Curriculum 2024-2025
Wondering what curriculum you should use for 6th grade? Here are my picks for the 2024-2025 school year.
Bible - Not Consumed Foundation Series Bundle paired with these scripture memory cards
We have been using this student planner from Not Consumed Ministries for a few years. This is by far my favorite student planner to encourage independence for my kiddo.
Language Arts - The Good and the Beautiful Language Arts Level 5
Handwriting - The Good and the Beautiful Handwriting Level 5
History - American History unit studies that I will be putting together from a variety of sources. The main spine of our units will be the American Girl History series of books and the Children’s Encyclopedia of American History. Through the year we will study Kaya 1764, Felicity 1774, Caroline 1812, Josephina 1824, Kirsten 1824, Addy 1864, Samatha 1904, Kit 1934, Molly 1934. We are starting off with Felicity as we have already covered Kaya. I will be purchasing books or checking out from the library as we work through these units. I will do a future post on how to assemble your own history curriculum to fit the interests and learning styles of your child.
Science - Julia Rothman Farm Anatomy: The Curious Parts and Pieces of Country Life. Paired with the companion notebook from Daily Skill Building. I will also be adding in equine science elements from Circus Unicorn.
Typing - Touch Type Read Spell - Use code TALLEN for 10% off!
This year's extracurricular activities are piano, an enrichment class offered by our church, and lots of horseback riding.
